What a great surprise and delight it was when Wilmslow Churches Together decided that their Harvest Appeal in 2012 would be to support the Mary Wood Trust and in particular to raise money to build a Sick Bay at Nyakabungo Girls Secondary School.
Donations at the various Harvest services as well as a barn dance at St Barts and giving from the various churches (and taking into account Gift Aid where allowable) raised a tremendous sum of over £6000.
This will help substantially towards the building of the sick bay.
During a recent visit to Uganda, Clare and Oliver Ramsden were delighted to take part in the ground breaking ceremony for the sick bay. Hopefully on their next visit they will be able to report back on the progress of the building.
A HUGE THANK YOU TO YOU ALL!
